The Accident Compensation Commission of Fiji (ACCF) held its second Board meeting for the year via Zoom on Thursday, 06^th May 2021. As part of Management’s update, the Board was advised that the Commission is continuing to assist the victims of motor vehicle, employment and school accidents. Especially during this difficult phase that Fiji is going through.

Notwithstanding the current restrictions on movement, the ACCF team has continued to support victims of accidents remotely. Using technology, the Commission had from the outset set itself up to ensure there would be business continuity in these types of situations.
The ACCF Board noted the following:

• ACCF has paid a total of $18,675,000.00 million in compensation to victims of accidents since January 2018.
• This total sum paid is made up as follows:

             Motor Vehicle Accidents$15,235,500.00
             Employment Accidents$ 3,258,000.00
             School Accidents$181,500.00
