ACCF BOARD NOTES POSITIVE FEEDBACK
The Accident Compensation Commission of Fiji (ACCF) held its fourth Board meeting for the year on Wednesday, 29th
September 2021. As part of Management’s update, the Board was informed of positive feedback received from satisfied applicants. This included the following feedback from a victim of a motor vehicle accident who recently received his compensation from ACCF:
“I would like to offer my sincere gratitude and appreciation to the ACCF team for their assistance with this application. Your team seamlessly processed it even with the current challenges’’.
I appreciate your customer service and constant updates, and I would also like to thank ACCF for this avenue where our Fiji drivers are able to lodge their compensation claims after an accident.
With this compensation, I am able to plan my knee treatment and it also gives me some piece of mind because I had a lot of costs after the accident.’’
As part of his operational update, the ACCF CEO Mr Parvez Akbar informed the Board that the entire ACCF team is fully vaccinated and that the team has weekly development sessions on various topics.
The Board was also apprised of ACCF’s approach to deaths from COVID-19 as well as notifications received from employers of COVID-19 cases. All employers are required to notify ACCF and Ministry of Employment of any COVID-19 infections or deaths arising out of and in the course of employment.
